NY Court Revives Workers' Silica Inhalation Suits

Law360 (March 24, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A New York appellate court on Friday revived two individual product liability cases brought by married couples who accused a slew of silica manufacturers of failing to warn workers of the dangers of inhaling silica dust.

The cases were appealed by the plaintiffs from the Supreme Court of Cattaraugus County, N.Y., to the Supreme Court of the State of New York's Appellate Division in April 2007 after being dismissed at the county level.
