Calif. Considers 'Don't Ask, Must Tell' Pay History Bill

A very similar bill, AB 1017, passed the Legislature and was vetoed by Gov. Jerry Brown in 2015. That concept was also in AB 1676, but was removed to facilitate passage of the 2016 fair pay legislation expanding the ban on wage disparities beyond women to racial and ethnic groups. The omitted language returns in the form of AB 168 that has passed the Assembly and is now moving through the state Senate....
