La. School Board, Insurers Settle Katrina Suit

Law360 (March 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Plaquemines Parish School Board has settled a lawsuit involving a $15 million insurance policy in which the board sought damages from insurers that allegedly acted in bad faith after Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc across the Louisiana parish in August 2005.

The lawsuit, removed to the the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana in October 2006, was dismissed Tuesday.
