AMA Implicates Wellpoint In Price-Fixing Plot

Law360, New York (March 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Building on efforts to uncover what they say was an industrywide scheme to defraud patients and physicians, the American Medical Association and other medical societies have filed a class action lawsuit against Wellpoint Inc., claiming that the country’s largest health insurer improperly manipulated insurance reimbursement rates.
