Injunction Vacated In Chicago Police FLSA Spat

Law360, New York (March 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has vacated an injunction against the city of Chicago that stemmed from litigation brought by police officers who claimed they were being denied compensatory time off that they were due instead of overtime, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

However, the appeals court rejected the city's assertion that the police department's practices complied with the FLSA.
