SEC Hands Over Pequot Documents

Law360, New York (August 31, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a closed meeting held earlier this week, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission voted to turn over documents to Senate investigators relating to a probe into allegations of insider trading at hedge fund Pequot Capital Management.

The decision marks a victory for Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Senate Judiciary Chairman Arlen Specter, who have for weeks been demanding more information about the SEC investigation.
