No Class Cert. In Sex, Race Bias Suits V. Cintas

Law360, New York (March 31, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has rejected bids for class certification from plaintiffs in two Title VII cases that accused uniform maker Cintas Corp. of discriminating against female and against black and Hispanic applicants who sought positions as service sales representatives with the company.

Judge Sean Cox of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan handed down an order on Tuesday denying class certification bids from the plaintiffs in the two cases, which were consolidated for pretrial purposes.
