Veteran's Case Against EEOC Dismissed

Law360, New York (September 1, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Judges in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit affirmed Wednesday an Alabama district court’s decision to throw out the case of Jerome Bennett, a disabled veteran who accused the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission of discrimination.

In March 1999, Bennett responded to a vacancy announcement from the EEOC’s Birmingham, Ala. office seeking applications for two EEOC investigator positions.
