Symantec Patent Suit Packs Its Bags For Calif.

By Rick Archer (July 31, 2017, 6:37 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal judge on Monday moved a patent dispute between cybersecurity firms Symantec Corp. and Zscaler Inc. to California, saying it was not a matter of evening out a David and Goliath battle but one of common sense and judicial efficiency.

Noting that the software involved in the suit between Delaware-registered Symantec and Zscaler was largely created in California, none of the witnesses live in Delaware, and the two companies are headquartered in California towns 7 miles apart, District Court Judge Mark A.
