AT&T, Lenovo To Offer Startups Patents For Equity

Law360, New York (August 2, 2017, 7:55 PM EDT) -- AT&T Corp., Lenovo Group Ltd., Entegris Inc. and Rambus Inc. have agreed to offer up their intellectual property to startups in exchange for equity during priced investment rounds, the patent advisory firm behind the deal announced Wednesday.

Aqua Licensing has secured agreements with the large companies, which hold more than 60,000 patents, and plans to connect them with venture-backed companies seeking defensible intellectual property portfolios.
