Insurers Look To Duck Coverage Of Tribal Water Pipeline Row

Law360, New York (August 3, 2017, 4:02 PM EDT) -- Massachusetts Bay Insurance Co. and Hanover Insurance Co. on Wednesday launched a lawsuit seeking a declaration that they do not owe coverage to the Tulalip tribes of Washington or a pair of companies in arbitration that has sprung up over a water pipeline project.

The insurance companies want a Washington federal court to declare that they need not indemnify the Tulalip tribes, Push HDD LLC or Reece Construction Co. for claims asserted in the arbitration, under insurance policies they issued to Push.
