EFH, NextEra Units Work Toward Settling Wind Credit Row

Law360, New York (August 14, 2017, 4:14 PM EDT) -- An Energy Future Holdings Corp. unit and a NextEra Energy Inc. subsidiary have a tentative deal in the works to settle a multimillion-dollar dispute over wind farm credits, the companies told a Texas appeals court on Friday.

EFH's Luminant and NextEra's FPL Energy LLC said they’ve drafted a settlement agreement, as well as dismissal and power purchase agreements, and will now get to work on securing the final internal approvals and signatures for those agreements, according to a court-ordered joint status letter filed to the Texas Fifth Court of Appeals.
