Iowa Supreme Court Strikes Same-Sex Marriage Ban

Law360 (April 3, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Iowa Supreme Court issued a strong statement Friday supporting the constitutionality of same-sex marriage, declaring in a unanimous ruling that a state law defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman violated the Iowa Constitution's equal protection clause.
