Attorney General Hit With Suit Over Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (September 5, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Amid concerns that trade secrets and other confidential information will be handed to its rivals, insurance broker Brown & Brown has filed a lawsuit against Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal to block him from making such disclosures.

The complaint, filed Aug. 29 in the Superior Court of the Judicial District of Hartford, asks that Blumenthal’s subpoena of company documents be quashed or limited, and seeks an order limiting the attorney general’s ability to disclose information gleaned from the subpoenaed documents.
