WASA Bid To Tank Race Bias Class Untimely: DC Circ.

Law360, New York (April 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has denied a bid by the DC Water and Sewer Authority to reverse class certification in an employment discrimination case, scolding the authority and the attorneys for filing an untimely appeal.

In its finding Friday, a three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit chastised WASA and its attorneys with Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP for filing the petition to appeal class certification more than 16 months after the deadline.
