Battle Over EFCA Heats Up With Advertising Blitz

Law360 (April 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has launched a $1 million television advertising bombardment attacking the union-backed Employee Free Choice Act as part of a grassroots campaign to beef up opposition to the increasingly ill-favored bill.

The Chamber of Commerce began the television ad campaign Monday in Colorado, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Dakota and Virginia — the home states of key U.S. senators for the legislation — and plans to begin running radio ads in coming days in Alaska and South Dakota.
