HP's Board Probe Draws Attorney General's Interest

Law360, New York (September 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Attorney General for California is examining techniques employed by Hewlett-Packard Co. to pinpoint and weed out leaks within the computer giant’s board of directors, according to a regulatory dossier filed Wednesday.

HP said California’s top attorney informally contacted the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company to ask for information after HP revealed the details of an internal inquiry in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
