NetApp, Feds Settle Contract Fraud Suit For $128M

Law360, New York (April 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Network Appliance Inc. will pony up $128 million to settle a corporate fraud suit alleging that it bilked the U.S. Government Services Administration by not honoring its most-favored customer status.

The settlement, signed by both parties April 7 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, is the largest corporate fraud settlement to be associated with the GSA's Federal Supply Service procurement program to date, according to a law firm representing the whistleblower who filed the original complaint.
