Bankruptcy Lawyer, Obama Adviser Joins DLA Piper

Law360, New York (April 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bankruptcy lawyer who served as an informal adviser to the Obama presidential campaign has moved from Goldberg Kohn to DLA Piper, where he aims to represent financial institutions and other creditors in highly complex matters.

Alan P. Solow, whose official title is vice chair of the restructuring group, started working at DLA Piper's Chicago office on Monday. Previously, he served on the management committee at Goldberg Kohn and was chair of that firm's bankruptcy and creditor’s rights group.
