Law360, New York (April 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- European medical device maker Smith & Nephew PLC has received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice in connection with its ultrasound stimulation product Exogen, as the company and other manufacturers of bone growth stimulation products face litigation related to the sales and marketing of such products.
The London-based company revealed the subpoena Thursday, saying the DOJ had asked it to turn over documents relating to Exogen “and other matters” from 1995 onward.
