Fed. Circ. Skeptical Of Caller ID Patent Nixed Under Alice

Law360, New York (October 5, 2017, 3:59 PM EDT) -- Greenflight Venture Corp. faced a skeptical Federal Circuit panel Thursday as it looked to revive a patent for reverse telephone number lookup technology that was involved in a case against Whitepages Inc., with judges saying more than once that the invention appears to be directed toward an abstract idea.
