Fla. AG Hits Auto Filter Makers With Price-Fixing Suit

Law360 (April 16, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Florida's attorney general has launched antitrust action against nine of the biggest manufacturers of automotive filters in the U.S — including Honeywell International Inc. — in the first suit of its kind by a state attorney general since the federal government announced a probe of the market in 2008.

The complaint, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleges that the companies conspired to fix prices, allocate customers and eliminate competition in the auto filter market.
