Appeals Ct. Rejects Bid To Review Coal Plant Approval

Law360, New York (April 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two environmental groups have been dealt a major setback in a bid to block the construction of a coal power plant in Texas, after a state appeals court declined to rehear the case.

The Court of Appeals for the Seventh District of Texas on Thursday overruled a motion by Texans Protecting Our Water, Environment and Natural Resources and Environmental Defense Inc. to rehear their case calling for a review of the plant's approval.
