LifeLock Loses Bid To Sue Heller For Malpractice

Law360, New York (April 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has rejected identity theft protection company LifeLock Inc.'s bid to sue bankrupt Heller Ehrman LLP for malpractice in district court in a spat over a $4 million defense bill and advice on a Federal Trade Commission inquiry.

Judge Dennis Montali of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday denied LifeLock's motion to lift the automatic stay barring its suit, an attorney representing the creditors committee for Heller has confirmed.
