'Cut-And-Paste' Suit Over Bumbo Seats Tossed

Law360 (April 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a proposed class action against Bumbo Ltd. and Target Corp. claiming that Bumbo's baby seats are unsafe, saying it lacks factual allegations.

Judge Marilyn Patel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled Wednesday that Wendy Whitson, who filed the suit in 2007, lacked standing to sue because she did not allege that she was injured by the Bumbo Baby Sitter seat she bought at Target.
