Ex-Philly DA Disbarred Following Corruption Plea

Law360, Philadelphia (October 20, 2017, 4:30 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court inked an order on Thursday disbarring Philadelphia's disgraced former district attorney, in the wake of his guilty plea in June on a federal bribery charge.

R. Seth Williams, 50, consented to give up his law license, as he admitted there was no way to defend his actions in light of a guilty plea in which he copped to, among other things, accepting bribes from two local businessman.
