Energy Co. Bringing Turbines To Puerto Rico Faces Obstacles

Law360, Miami (October 20, 2017, 9:05 PM EDT) -- Shutts & Bowen LLP partner Harold Patricoff is no stranger to negotiating emergency deals for power generation around the world, but a recent $35 million contract to send two turbines to Puerto Rico to ease the power crisis there presented unprecedented communication challenges.

Patricoff represents Jacksonville, Florida-based APR Energy, which has shipped two turbines to the hurricane-battered island that should start producing enough power to get the lights back on for 250,000 customers in the San Juan area by next week.
