Trelleborg Units To Pay $11M In Marine Cartel Case

Law360, New York (April 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two subsidiaries of Swedish company Trelleborg AB have agreed to plead guilty and pay a total of $11 million in criminal fines for participating in separate conspiracies involving the market for marine products.

The U.S. Department of Justice said Monday that it had filed plea agreements with Virginia Harbor Services Inc., formerly known as Trelleborg Engineered Products Inc., a manufacturer of foam-filled marine fenders, buoys and plastic marine pilings, and France-based Trelleborg Industrie SAS, a maker of marine hose.
