FDA Defends Cigar Regs, Points To Consumer Misperceptions

Law360, Washington (October 25, 2017, 8:57 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration shot back Wednesday in D.C. federal court at smokers rights groups' challenge to a recent rule expanding regulations on cigars and pipe tobacco, saying expanded warning requirements and user fees are needed to call attention to underappreciated health risks.
