P&G, Roche Drop Actonel Patent Suit Against Sun

Law360, New York (April 21, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Procter & Gamble Co. and Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. have dismissed their claims in a lawsuit accusing generic-drug maker Sun Pharma Global Inc. of infringing a patent related to the dosage formula for a once-a-month version of the companies' osteoporosis treatment Actonel.

Senior District Judge Bernard Friedman on Monday approved the pharmaceutical companies' motion to dismiss the action in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
