Travelers Bid To Compel Docs Denied In PCB Suit

Law360 (April 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A magistrate judge has denied Travelers Indemnity Co.'s motion to compel discovery-related documents from Kuhlman Electric Corp., in the insurer's suit seeking to avoid defending the transformer company in connection with millions of dollars in toxic liability claims.

Monday's ruling comes as the insurer seeks a declaratory judgment in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi that it is not required to reimburse or defend underlying cases related to polychlorinated biphenyls.
