Judge Extends Microsoft Oversight For 18 Months

Law360, New York (April 22, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has agreed to extend court oversight of a 2002 landmark antitrust judgment against Microsoft Corp. for another 18 months, to ensure the software giant complies with requirements for technical data provided to licensees of its Windows operating system.

Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia granted a joint motion by the U.S. Department of Justice and a group of state attorneys general to extend court monitoring of the historic judgment until May 12, 2011.
