CFPB Names Donoghue New Enforcement Director

Law360, New York (November 7, 2017, 4:51 PM EST) -- The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Monday promoted Kristen Donoghue to take over as enforcement director.

Donoghue, who most recently was the CFPB’s deputy enforcement director for strategy and policy, will take over for outgoing Enforcement Director Anthony Alexis. Alexis’ last day at the CFPB will be Nov. 17, Sam Gilford, a CFPB spokesman, confirmed.

CFPB Director Richard Cordray said that Donoghue has been “an essential member” of the bureau’s enforcement team since it opened its doors in 2011.
