Shell Settles Sierra Club Emissions Suit For $5.8M

Law360, New York (April 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Shell Oil Co. has reached an agreement with the Sierra Club and a Texas environmental group over excess emissions at a refinery, in a deal that requires the company to pay $5.8 million and make extensive repairs to the facility over the next several years.
