Tweak Climate Bill Or Endanger Economy: Experts

Law360, New York (April 23, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Energy prices will go up and American industrial competitiveness will decline if a proposed global warming bill is not tweaked, representatives for electricity providers, unions, nonprofit organizations and academia warned members of Congress on Thursday.

The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce’s third day of hearings solicited testimony on how to help Americans deal with higher electricity rates and protect U.S. manufacturing from being impaired by greenhouse gas emissions caps.
