Milberg Weiss Raises Salaries To Halt Mass Exodus

Law360 (September 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman LLP, the embattled law firm accused of paying kickbacks to lead plaintiffs, has been increasing salaries and benefits to stop the tidal wave of attorneys who are leaving the firm.

According to the Wall Street Journal, some partners have been offered twice their previous salaries to stay, and all partners and associates who remain at the firm until Sept. 15 will receive a retention bonus of 10% their annual salaries.
