Sun Didn't Infringe Versata Software Patents: Jury

Law360 (April 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sun Microsystems Inc. did not infringe two product configuration software patents or steal trade secrets belonging to Versata Software Inc., a federal jury has ruled, handing Sun a complete victory in a suit where Versata had sought over $100 million in damages.

The jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas handed down its verdict on Friday, following a week-and-a-half-long trial and two hours of deliberation.
