Ropes & Gray Taps PE Leader As Chicago Office Head

By Lauraann Wood (November 22, 2017, 7:28 PM EST) -- Ropes & Gray LLP has chosen Neill Jakobe, a co-leader of its private equity industry group, as the new managing partner for its Chicago office, the firm announced Tuesday.

Jakobe, 41, has honed his practice representing companies in private equity transactions and strategic mergers since only a few months after the firm opened its doors in Chicago in 2008. He said that while he is excited to take the helm at the firm's fourth-largest office, he hasn't taken much time to reflect on the development.
