Dell Delays Quarterly Filing, Discloses Subpeona

Law360, New York (September 11, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Personal computer maker Dell Inc. will delay the filing of its second quarter financials because of a Securities and Exchange Commission probe into its finances, the company said on Monday.

Dell also disclosed that it had received a subpoena from the Southern District of New York requesting documents related to the company’s financial reporting from 2002 to the present.

The Round Rock, Tex.-based company has suspended its share repurchase program and postponed a meeting with analysts scheduled for Sept. 13.
