Honda Unit Settles FLSA Overtime Action

Law360, New York (April 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Honda Motor Co. Ltd. subsidiary HL-A Co Inc. has settled a collective action alleging the auto parts manufacturer violated the overtime pay provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

On Friday, Judge William H. Steele of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama approved the settlement, which provides plaintiffs with more than $40,000 in aggregate overtime wages and covers roughly $103,000 in attorneys’ fees.
