SEC Names Co-Acting Directors To Trading Division

Law360 (April 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two deputy directors of the Division of Trading and Markets at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission have been appointed co-directors of the division, replacing Erik R. Sirri, who left the agency on Friday.

James Brigagliano and Daniel M. Gallagher were named to their new posts by SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro on Monday.

As deputy directors, both men have been actively involved in managing the SEC's Division of Trading and Markets, which oversees the agency's programs for securities and options exchanges, brokers, dealers, clearing agencies, transfer...
