Commerce Keeps Duties On Chinese Steel Cylinders

Law360, New York (December 4, 2017, 9:15 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce announced on Monday that it has determined that removing countervailing and anti-dumping duties from high-pressure steel cylinders imported from the People’s Republic of China would harm the U.S. market.

Commerce, which issued final rulings in May 2012 finding that the Chinese government had unfairly subsidized its manufacturers of the products, allowing exporters to sell them at below-market prices in the U.S., said in a filing slated to be published in the Federal Register on Tuesday that the anti-dumping and countervailing duty...
