ITC Clears Path For New Biodiesel Tariffs

Law360, New York (December 5, 2017, 1:19 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission greenlit new tariffs on shipments of biodiesel fuel from Argentina and Indonesia on Tuesday after determining that the imports are posing a threat to domestic producers.

With the ITC’s 4-0 affirmative vote on the books, the U.S. Department of Commerce is free to move ahead with implementing final anti-dumping and countervailing duties on the biodiesel imports, handing a victory to the National Biodiesel Board, which launched petitions for the tariffs in March.
