Russian Olympic Team Barred From 2018 Winter Olympics

Law360, New York (December 5, 2017, 1:50 PM EST) -- The International Olympic Committee on Tuesday suspended the Russian Olympic Committee, a move that comes after the IOC has levied a number of lifetime bans against the nation’s past Olympic athletes for violating global doping rules, but opened the door for individual Russian athletes to compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics to be held in Pyeongchang, South Korea, under the Olympic flag.
