PCB-Laden Hospital Ship Not Navy's Problem: Judge

Law360, New York (April 30, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The owner of a decommissioned hospital ship will not be able to pass a $1 million polychlorinated biphenyl cleanup bill on to the U.S. Navy, a federal judge has ruled.

Removing PCBs from the M/V Sanctuary is a problem for vessel owner Potomac Navigation Inc., Judge William Nickerson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland said in a ruling Wednesday.
