Calif. Appeals Court Reverses Pregnancy-Bias Ruling

Law360, New York (May 1, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Saying the lower court should have admitted testimony from other women who alleged similar conduct, a California appellate court has revived a discrimination case brought by a woman who said she was fired for being pregnant.

The California Court of Appeals Second Appellate District said in an opinion filed Thursday that the Superior Court of Los Angeles County was wrong to grant summary judgment to the United Cerebral Palsy/ Spastic Children's Foundation of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties in a case brought by Dewandra Johnson....
