Sun Seeks To Shield CFO From Hynix Subpoena

Law360, New York (May 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sun Microsystems Inc. has asked a judge to quash rival Hynix Semiconductor Inc.'s subpoena of a Sun executive in a suit over Hynix's alleged computer memory price-fixing, claiming that the subpoena is “unduly burdensome, harassing and seeking irrelevant information.”

“There can be no doubt that Hynix served this subpoena for the improper purpose of harassing and unduly burdening a high-ranking Sun executive,” Sun said in a motion filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
