Law360, New York (May 4, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has upheld a two-year extension for Japanese drugmaker Daiichi Pharmaceutical Co.'s Levaquin patent, rejecting an effort by Lupin Ltd. to launch a generic version of the anti-bacterial blockbuster following the patent's original expiration date in October 2008.
