Manafort Is ‘VIP,’ Sending Emails From Jail, Feds Say

Law360 (July 11, 2018, 9:41 PM EDT) -- President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort is being treated like a “VIP” in jail as he awaits trials over alleged financial crimes and foreign lobbying charges, and found a way around the rule barring prisoners from sending emails while incarcerated, prosecutors told a Virginia federal judge Wednesday.
