Wilmington Trust Seeks Fed Reserve Docs Before Fraud Trial

Law360, New York (September 18, 2017, 9:34 PM EDT) -- Wilmington Trust Corp. has told a Delaware federal court that the Federal Reserve is in possession of documents that could help the bank defend against charges it hid hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of overdue loans from investors and regulators.

The bank, which is scheduled to face trial beginning in October, urged the court on Friday to compel the government to produce these documents along with related internal Fed communications.
